Sanggar Seni Tari Sawo Kecik proudly added vibrancy to the “Senam Sehat Bersama” event in commemoration of National Sports Day 2023. The event was organized by Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon in collaboration with the Committee for Recreational Sports for the Indonesian Community (KORMI) of Cirebon City and took place at Alun-Alun Sangkala Buana, Keraton Kasepuhan Cirebon on Sunday, September 10, 2023.
In this festive event, Sanggar Sawo Kecik captivated the audience with two enchanting dance performances. They presented the Cirebon Topeng Dance (Citopeng) and the Warung Pojok Creative Dance, blending the beauty of traditional movements with awe-inspiring creativity. Their performances added a rich and diverse cultural touch to the entire gathering.
Ratu Dini Andhiyani Seminingrat, the coach and leader of Sanggar Sawo Kecik, expressed her pride in this opportunity. She reaffirmed the commitment of the group to preserve and develop Cirebon’s traditional arts. In her statement, Ratu Dini also expressed her appreciation for the “Senam Sehat Bersama” event, which incorporated Cirebon’s traditional arts as an integral part of the National Sports Day celebration.
In this activity, Dini, as she is affectionately called, also voiced her support for promoting healthy gymnastics as a healthy lifestyle for the community. Such activities not only support physical health but also enrich local culture and arts, making them valuable moments to strengthen community bonds.
